A few years back I had this idea of creating an interactive community for our magazine’s readers where we would get to know each other better, see what they want from us and complete my vision of a magazine that was made by metalheads for metalheads.

I wanted something far more than a simple forum, so I added games, an image gallery and several other things to spice it up. The process was painful since I never setup a php forum before, let alone something complicated as that. Endless hours of debugging and manually changing code to make all the plugins work together. During that time Katrina’s and Orpheus’ help were priceless so I have to thank them.

Proudly the forum was announced and soon we got our first members, hi-scores, you name it. But time passed by, people were replaced by sex-bots submitting 20 new shit no matter what security measures we used and the forum slowly died.

It was tough to hit the delete button and erase with one keystroke countless hours of relentless personal brainstorming but the fact that I had an idea that would actually help to improve the magazine made it easier.

Through our meetings we decided the magazine needed some things, like an articles section, a live dates section that was easy to manage, stuff like that. So I thought that a blog would be the best solution to fit our needs and it could still be a way to get in touch with our readers.

Presenting the new Metal Temple blog. A place for our thoughts and your thoughts, we hope you will enjoy it.

A huge thanks to all the members of the old forum and an apology for the sudden removal of it, we hope we’ll see you supporting our new effort as well!

Cheers,
